The Car is Sold!

Wow, what a long, busy day. We didn't slow down long enough for me to take any pictures. But here's the rundown.

First on our list was haircuts for us both, then a trip to the storage unit to pick up the studded tires for the car. We left the car at the storage unit and took the van to a Ford dealer in Issaquah to see if they were interested in buying it back. (They weren't.)

By now, it's starting to rain and our next stop is Bob's. Bob is Doug's stepdad and he needed a couple extra hands to help cover the huge, tarped, garage-like storage area in his driveway. The wind had whipped the top off of it and the old car that was being stored was taking the brunt of the weather. So, we helped get a new 60 x 100 tarp dragged over the roof area. We were all totally drenched by the time we were done. But the car was protected.

We picked up our mail and headed for our favorite store, Winco. But, we checked out a couple of jeeps along the way. No luck. After the groceries, we picked up the car at the storage unit and proceeded to Arlington. The guy buying the car went over it with a fine tooth comb....in the pouring rain.....and finally invited us into his house to sign the paperwork. Money safely in pocket, we turned towards home. It was almost eight o clock when we finally got back to the park and our warm coach.

I sure hope we don't end up with double pneumonia!! We will be glad to leave the Washington rain and find some sunshine.
