Sleeping Ute RV Park

When the sun came up I got some pictures of the park we are in. It sits behind the casino so it's nice and quiet.

Here's our site between two nice, shady trees. The sites are long pull thrus with lots of space, a big picnic table, grass and a trash can.

We walked down to the office to register and pay for the night since it was closed when we arrived. The park is so nice that we decided to take advantage of the weekly rate and do some sightseeing in the area.

Here is the view at the end of the park lane.

And this is how empty the park is. There is no one parked near us.

After settling in a bit, we jumped in the car and backtracked to the Four Corners Monument. Unfortunately, the monument where you can stand in four states all at the same time is being renovated and is closed until the end of July. Bummer!

So, we just took a ride to Shiprock, New Mexico. Not much there but lots of scenic views along the way. Home again for the evening and big plans for tomorrow.
